Come explore the vibrant art scene in Downtown West Chester and kick off your Family Weekend by stopping by the WCU Student Experience tent for free giveaways during the Fall 2025 Gallery Walk! The Gallery Walk is a seasonal tradition in West Chester where you can explore multiple galleries and artists in a self-guided tour throughout the Borough of West Chester. The event is free and open to the public, rain or shine! There is free street parking starting at 4pm. As a bonus, pick up a $5 coupon to the West Chester Artisan Market!

Sykes Student Union is turning the big 5-0! Join us for a special birthday edition of Rams After Hours (RAH) featuring all sorts of FREE fun! Whether it be racing your friends in the inflatable obstacle course or snapping a photo in our photobooth, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Snack on some birthday cake and Philly Pretzels while you get a balloon animal, or compete in head-to-head games for custom Sykes 50th merch! Be on the lookout for our two pinata drops too! Comedian Chris DiStefano October 3rd at 8pm for WCU Live

Chris Distefano

Chris Distefano is a comedy powerhouse known for his relatable humor and magnetic stage presence. In 2023, he made history as the first stand-up comedian to sell out both Radio City Music Hall and The Theater at Madison Square Garden on consecutive nights.

A true multi-platform talent, Chris has established himself across stand-up comedy, podcasting, television, and social media. His highly anticipated new hour-long special, It's Just Unfortunate, executive produced by Jimmy Kimmel, is currently streaming on Hulu.

Chris launched his career on MTV's Guy Code and Girl Code, before starring in IFC's Benders and co-hosting Netflix's Ultimate Beastmaster. He also hosted the Super Maximum Retro Show on Vice TV. His 2022 Netflix special, Speshy Weshy, along with his previous Size 38 Waist on Comedy Central, solidified his comedic reputation. He gained widespread recognition with his appearances on Guy Code and went on to star in Netflix's The Comedy Lineup.

Chris co-hosts the hit History Hyenas podcast with Yannis Pappas and also runs his solo show, Chrissy Chaos. He's a frequent guest on top podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience and Your Mom's House, and has appeared on shows such as Impractical Jokers and The Deuce.

With a massive social media following, Chris engages fans with stand-up clips, personal content, and updates. As he continues to evolve his career, with new television projects and exciting content in the pipeline, Chris is firmly securing his place as one of the brightest stars in comedy for years to come.

Wind Ensemble & Wind Symphony Concert

Join us for an evening of remarkable music and witness the artistry of these talented ensembles! The Wind Ensemble, composed of 45 of the finest wind and percussion players at West Chester University, represents WCU at conventions and performs in high schools throughout the region, commissioning many new works in recent years. Membership is open to all students by audition. The Wind Symphony, open to any WCU student by audition, rehearses two hours a week and performs a diverse repertoire from standard band literature, transcriptions, and light concert pieces. This is free and open to the public.

Transportation

Homecoming & Family Weekend will be a busy weekend full of lots of visitors in West Chester. We suggest reviewing the following information about parking and shuttles to make the most of your time on campus.

Free Parking will be available from Friday, October 3rd at 12pm until Sunday, October 5th at 10pm for all students, employees, alumni, parents, and visitors at specific parking lots/garages. These locations include:

  • Matlack Garage and lots M, M-1, M-2 (by Swope Music Building)
  • Sharpless Street Garage (25 Sharpless Street)
  • New Street Garage (704 S. New Street)
  • Student Rec Center Garage (275 N. Campus Drive)
  • Commons Garage (124 N. Campus Drive)

Students who typically park on South Campus should be aware that all vehicles need to be removed by Thursday, October 2nd at 5pm. Vehicles remaining in the lots (N Lot, O Lot, Q Lot, R Lot, and S Lot) will be towed at owner's expense.

Parking lots near Farrell Stadium for the WCU vs. East Stroudsburg football game on Saturday, October 4th will follow regular tailgating policies. Please refer to this website for more information regarding parking AT Farrell Stadium.

For all attending the Homecoming & Family Weekend events specifically on Saturday, October 4th, we highly suggest parking on north campus (the free parking lots listed above) and taking shuttle transportation to get around. Please see all shuttle information on this website. On Saturday, October 4th, there is a specific shuttle from Wayne Hall down to Farrell Stadium.
