Erika is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Philosophy at Villanova University. They received a Master’s degree in philosophy at Villanova University, and, prior to their graduate education, they received undergraduate degrees in philosophy and art history from Western Kentucky University. 

Their areas of focus are Audre Lorde’s conception of the erotic and feminist accounts on love and community. Their dissertation focuses on Lorde’s erotic and the poetic, sensuous knowledge that stems from it.
