Former Chair of the Women's & Gender Studies Department, and Professor of Philosophy, her most recent scholarship centers around feminist virtue ethics, and her current research projects include the concept of contempt and whether it has moral value, and 'maternal ambivalence.' She has also published on the ethics of human cloning, reproductive rights, and environmental ethics.
