HONORS SEMINAR PATHWAY

The Honors Seminar Pathway offers transformative learning experiences for students interested in developing global awareness from an interdisciplinary perspective.

A few of the benefits members are afforded:

  • small class sizes (generally 15-24 students)
  • access to specially designed interdisciplinary courses
  • membership in the Honors Student Association
  • access to Honors staff and office as information and support center
  • special recognition in the commencement program
  • eligibility to participate in Honors international study

Students must complete a minimum of 12 hours of Honors course work at the HON 351-452 level (HON 320-Travel Courses are also eligible) and demonstrate active contributions and service to co-curricular elements of the campus community for transcript and graduation recognition.

A minimum of three HON 351-452 level courses are offered each semester. These are small group (15-24 students) seminar offerings that are interdisciplinary with writing emphasis and have no prerequisites. Students may petition in special circumstances to substitute an HON 400-level independent study for three hours of credit. HON 320-Travel Courses are also occasionally offered.
