Pre-Medical Program
The Pre-Medical Program at West Chester University prepares students for acceptance into the health professional schools of their choice including: medicine (allopathic or osteopathic), dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and veterinary medicine; physician and pathology assistant programs. The program consists of an individualized selection of course work, personal counseling, and academic support.

Meet the Director
Dr. Donze-Reiner was awarded a PhD in molecular and microbiology from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and joined the WCU biology faculty in 2015. She teaches courses in genetics, molecular biology techniques, and current topics courses. She has mentored over twenty WCU undergraduate students in gene expression analysis associated with disease and infestations of switchgrass, a potential biofuel source. More recently, Dr. Donze-Reiner has become part of a multi-institutional grant studying pharmo-genetics of opioid use disorder, and is working with Drs. Anita Foreman and Bessie Lawton on the analysis of genetic variants associated with psychiatric disorders. She is currently an academic advisor for the cell and molecular biology concentration, receiving five consecutive recognition awards for outstanding advising.
