The Student Success Navigator is an online survey that includes items designed to measure student self-perceptions across four domains of behavior, personality, and/or social-emotional status: Academic Skills, Commitment, Self-Management, and Social Support. Each of these four domains is made up of multiple categories of items (with high scores associated with success for each category):
= Meeting Class Expectations + Organization
= Commitment to College Goals + Institutional Commitment
= Sensitivity to Stress + Test Anxiety + Academic Self-Efficacy
= Connectedness + Institutional Support + Barriers to Success
Incoming first-year students are asked to complete the survey during the August orientation. Participation is completely voluntary but reports of student responses can be very helpful to both students and advisors. Students are asked to review their individual reports and to consider reaching out to a variety of campus resources to assist them with the transition to college and with continuing academic success. If you are a student and no longer have the information provided to you to access your Success Navigator report, please contact the
Office of Student Successat 610-436-2908 to obtain your report. If you would like to reach out to campus resources for assistance in any of the areas measured by the Success Navigator, please use the buttons below to choose the campus resources you feel would be most helpful to you. And, look through the Resource Libraries posted below for helpful tips about how to improve your academic skills, for information about setting SMART goals and moving forward toward meeting the goals you set, to learn more about managing stress in college, and to find resources to support your success through college and beyond.
