Research & Creative Activity Advisory Board (RCAAB)
Mission
The Research & Creative Activity Advisory Board (RCAAB) provides insight into research and creative activity innovation at West Chester University. The board advises the Associate Provost for Research and Creative Activity on matters impacting West Chester University’s (WCU) research and creative activity enterprise to advance the scholarship and practice of research to inform teaching and learning across the university. The RCAAB raises concerns about barriers to research and supports our WCU community of educators while engaging students in high-impact practices to promote our shared values of innovation, inquiry, and impact.
RCAAB members assist by:
- Disseminating information about programming and opportunities offered through ORSP to faculty peers and students
- Soliciting information from faculty peers and students to provide ORSP with feedback about how to improve programming and supports
- Generating a list of impactful topics and potential speakers for WCU faculty forums, workshops, and podcasts
- Assisting with the development of workshops and training that improve capacity for scholarship
- Promoting collaboration among researchers and community partners
- Maintaining an updated Ram Research Directory profile, encouraging faculty peers to update their profiles, and encouraging students to use the Ram Research Directory to find research opportunities
