Options for file storing, sharing, and collaborating.
Virtual desktop that allows users to run software through a web browser or mobile app.
Web-Based Apps
The Teaching and Learning Center has developed web-based applications to aid with the course development process:
The purpose of the Responsive Code Generator is to create an embed code for a responsive video (a video which changes size based on the device being used to view the video) which can be inserted onto a D2L module page. By ensuring your videos are responsive, students have a positive user experience no matter what device they use: desktop, tablet, or phone.
The YouTube Transcript Generator creates a Microsoft Word file containing the text of a YouTube video's automatically-generated closed captioning. This file can then be manually corrected and used as a transcript.
Recording Studios and Equipment
The Teaching and Learning Center has two recording studios in Anderson Hall, as well as recording equipment available for loan. Use the links below to learn more about each space as well as our loaner equipment.
Augmented and Virtual Reality
The TLC is excited to explore how augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR) technologies can be incorporated in instruction. We have partnered with faculty at WCU to help build and facilitate AR and VR learning activities and even have a class set of Meta Quest 2 headsets available to loan in order to support in-class VR/AR learning activities and scenarios.
