Schmidt Hall was named for Gertrude Schmidt, a Music Professor & Administrator. The hall was built in 1970.

Room Set Up

Schmidt Hall is set up in a typical residence hall layout with two students per room and community bathrooms. Schmidt Hall rooms are approximately 16' X 12' with a window measuring 46" high X 72" wide. There are two single beds with 80" mattresses in each room. The beds may be used as separate beds or as bunk beds. Each room also has two desks, desk chairs, dressers, wardrobes, and under-bed storage units. The furniture is moveable. All rooms have air conditioning units.

Utilities

Utility Description
Computer Facilities: There are 4 computers located in the lounge off of the main lobby of Schmidt Hall.
Elevators: There are 2 elevators located in the center of the building.
Kitchenettes: There is 1 kitchenette located in the Lounge Area.
Laundry Rooms: There is 1 laundry room located in the basement.
ResNet: ResNet is the computer network provided to students living on campus. ResNet is a student's access to the university network and the World Wide Web.
Television Lounges: There is 1 TV lounge, located on the Ground Floor Lounge Area.

Monday-Sunday 11:00am-8:00pm (when halls are open)

MAIL

You will be issued a mailbox and combination when you check into your room. Mail is picked up from and delivered to the residence halls and apartments Monday through Saturday. There is no mail delivery on Sundays or holidays.
