Accreditation
Overview
The accreditation process allows the College of Education and Social Work (CESW) and West Chester University to demonstrate to prospective and current students, families, faculty, staff, and employers the high standards and quality of our academic programs. Depending on the accreditation agency, the reaccreditation process occurs every 5-10 years. Additionally, accreditation keeps us accountable to professional standards, commonwealth laws, and federal regulations. The CESW and University have several accredited human services programs including those in communication sciences and disorders, counselor education, educator preparation, music education, and social work.
