Borough and University Events
The Borough and University hold a variety of signature events over the course of the year that help build community and enhance quality of life. The WCCCC works to minimize disruption these events may cause by increasing communication, awareness, and Borough and University collaboration and cooperation around their planning and implementation. Below is a list of when these events are generally held; check the website for the specific dates for each year.
Welcome to the Borough
On Friday, August 25, 2023 the WCCCC hosted the first annual “Welcome to the Borough” event designed to introduce new WCU students to the resources and opportunities of the West Chester Borough and foster a sense of connection, membership, and civic responsibility. The key components of the event include a borough volunteer fair, first responder meet and greet, voter registration drive, discounts at local restaurants and businesses, engagement with the Chester County History Center, and an appearance by Mayor DeBaptiste.
