Supported Hardware

All University owned equipment will be configured and maintained by Information Services & Technology during its supported life. WCU is part of Lenovo's Self-Maintainer Warranty program, and our technical staff is certified to conduct in-house warranty repair work on Lenovo products. Our Apple Certified Mac Technicians (ACMT), are also trained to effectively diagnose/repair Apple hardware and software. IS&T supports all university owned Lenovo, Apple, and Dell computers currently deployed. 

Supported Lenovo Products

IS&T supports all university owned Lenovo computers currently deployed. If a Lenovo product is in need of repair, contact the IS&T Help Desk to report and further diagnose the problem. If IS&T identifies the problem as hardware related and the product is still under warranty, IS&T will coordinate the repair with Lenovo support. 

Supported Apple Products

If an Apple product is in need of repair, contact the IS&T Help Desk to report and further diagnose the problem. If IS&T identifies the problem as hardware related and the product is still under warranty, IS&T will coordinate the repair with AppleCare. Apple Hardware repairs must be sent to a certified AppleCare facility to prevent voiding warranty.

  • Apple Laptops: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro
  • Apple Desktops:  iMac, Mac Pro
  • Apple Devices: iPad

For equipment repairs that are not covered by a warranty, IS&T will notify the user with the details and if the user wants to pursue the repair, the user's department will need to cover the cost of the repair, and the user must complete the Equipment Repair Form to request the repair.
